1953 Fender Esquire

The Esquire was created by Leo Fender in late 1949 and was the first production solidbody electric guitar.
Its clever design has seldom changed over the last 75 years and it is alongside the Stratocaster and
Gibson’s Les Paul one of the three pillars of Rock’n’Roll music.
Truth is, it can’t really be bettered: in its simplicity lies its success.

The list of great musicians who have played Esquires and Telecasters is literally endless:
Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Luther Perkins, Steve Cropper, Danny Gatton, PJ Harvey, Frank Black, James Burton…

This all original instrument is a great example of the classic Blackguard Esquire,
it features a beautifully aged finish with some light play wear with a strikingly figured Ash body.
Both body and neck are dated July 1953 and signed by renowned Fender workers Gloria Fuentes and Tadeo Gomez.
Complete with its original poodle case.
