1959 Hofner Club 60

With their distinctive shape clearly inspired by Gibson’s Les Paul,
Hofner Club guitars were sold in the UK by Selmer from 1956.
They proved to be an instant hit with young skiffle combos:
John Lennon, George Harrison, Ritchie Blackmore and David Gilmour all played a Club in their early days.
Their short scale and compact size make them really easy to play and
the control panel offers a wide range of sound configurations.
The Club 60 was the top of this popular range and they were fitted with ebony fingerboards and fancy pearloid inlays.

This all original Club 60 is in stunning condition,
it features a very unusual patterned maple top and a beautiful striped flat back.
Comes complete with its original case as supplied by the Music Stores, Hanley in 1959!
