1964 Gibson SG Standard

1964 SG Standard

Designed in early 1960 to replace the brilliant yet slow selling Les Paul Standard,
the SG quickly established itself as an incredible guitar in its own right.
The combination of lightweight mahogany, humbucking pick-ups and easy access to the high frets
has made this classic Gibson a favourite of the likes of
Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and of course Angus Young.

With identical specifications as George Harrison’s SG,
this is a great sounding guitar with only a few marks on its deep cherry finish.
It had some Schaller tuners fitted previously, original Kluson tuners have been reinstalled.
The front of the headstock has been oversprayed and a new nut was fitted.

A truly great instrument complete with original case w/key,
Tune-o-matic manual, pick case and 1964 Gibson pricelist.
