1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior
In mid 1958, Gibson decided to totally relook the Les Paul Special and Junior models:
in came a double cutaway version which offered full access to the 22 frets for the first time.
With its iconic body shape, powerful P90, full neck profile and vibrant Cherry Red finish,
this fully original 1958 Les Paul Junior is a perfect example of this timeless Rock’n’Roll guitar.
These first early DC Juniors are the most sought after ones as they have a full neck profile, sharper body edges
and the pickup is mounted directly on the top unlike later versions.
It plays perfectly and shows some light signs of wear,
the P90 is particularly powerful and responsive, it measures a strong 9.25Ω!
It was bought new in early 1959 by a family who kept it until very recently.
Complete with a modern Gibson hard case.
