The Hofner Violin Bass has become one of the most iconic musical instrument ever designed
thanks to its most famous user, Paul McCartney.
So strong is the association that the bass is also affectionately known as the “Beatle Bass”.
This 1963 Selmer Violin Bass is in superb fully original condition
and it shares a lot of features with McCartney's second bass:
unbound neck, script logo, long tailpiece, offset jack socket…
This beautiful 500/1 was purchased new in 1963 from
Booth’s Music in Bolton which is still trading to this day.
Comes complete with an original Selmer case and Guncotton leather strap.
A must for any Beatle or vintage instrument collector!
