1963 Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass

The Hofner Violin Bass has become one of the most iconic musical instrument ever designed
thanks to its most famous user, Paul McCartney.
So strong is the association that the bass is also affectionately known as the “Beatle Bass”.

This beautiful 1963 500/1 bass is one of the first to have been imported in England by Selmer,
Höfner’s UK distributor, in fact it’s the 20th!
It’s in lovely original condition and it shares a lot of features with McCartney's second bass:
script logo, long tailpiece, flamed back and sides, offset jack socket…
and more importantly a rare unbound two piece neck!!

Complete with its original Selmer case, pickguard and a Guncotton leather strap.
A must for any Beatle or vintage instrument collector!
